The dream holiday home
The Casa Santa Teresa holiday house is nestled along the Sanguinaires road, by the sea on the rocks facing the bay of Ajaccio.
Built in the 1950s and abandoned since decades, the house has been completely renovated and transformed by French architect Amelia Tavella, originally from the region.
For rent since May 2020, the house is inspired by the Mediterranean art of living, sharing and conviviality. On a triangular plot, the space with a surface of 400 m2 is spread over 4 levels, which can accommodate up to 12 guests. The original pure lines mingle with airy, bright and minimalist interiors, noble and natural materials, in a harmony of warm and summery colors. We find their sand-colored floors, matt white walls, reclaimed bricks, enamelled terracotta zelliges, solid chestnut wood, natural rope, rattan, rough stone, ceramic, raw wood shutters, combined with simple and contemporary furniture paying homage to the Mediterranean and Corsica. Casa Santa Teresa includes an open common space on the ground floor, including a living room with fireplace and alcoves, a dining room and a fitted kitchen, as well as 5 bedrooms each with its own bathroom distributed over the different levels, and connected by a wooden staircase. The connection between indoors and outdoors is made through huge pivoting glass doors opening onto a spacious furnished terrace, allowing summer dining al fresco to be enjoyed while looking at the horizon. The outdoor area extends to the garden level, where there is a summer kitchen with plancha, a shaded lunch area, a heated swimming pool facing the sea, and the beach, which is accessed by a slab path and a few steps.
With an exceptional privileged location, Casa Santa Teresa is a little paradise to rent for a sweet Corsican break.
