Panorama Glass Lodge includes Freya and Alva, two individually rented lodges, located in Hella, on the West side of the island, a 1 hour and 40 min drive away from Reykjavík, Iceland.

Panorama Glass Lodge is a family business created by Sabrina Dedler and and her husband both from Switzerland and Germany. The concept is to offer an absolutely unique and romantic getaway where you can observe the Northern Lights, the stars, or the midnight sun directly from the comfort of a warm bed. Nestled on the seafront in a secluded location, the two lodges completed in 2017 by the ÖÖD company are inspired by Scandinavian homes, combining a rectangular prefabricated structure, and elements of wood, steel and glass.

Like an igloo, the glass house 23 sqm interior is open plan and includes a small fully-equipped kitchen with basic food, a dining area with a dining table with two chairs, and a bathroom with a large rain shower. and a natural stone sink. The sleeping area, located at the end of the lodge under a glass roof and surrounded by large floor-to-ceiling windows, features a comfortable custom made king-size bed strategically placed in the middle, with an amazing panorama view. Side curtains are available, if needed, but the glass roof has no curtains, in order to make the most of the starry sky. The viking style interior is completely custom made, with high value placed on the details. The lodge offers complete privacy. Each lodge has a furnished outdoor terrace and private outdoor hotpot next to the lodge with an amazing view over the volcano Hekla, the icelandic highlands and a beautiful natural river. The lucky ones will be able to spot a few seals and even whales in the fjord from the beach, or the Northern Lights, very bright & visible due to the remote location with almost no light pollution, or the amazing midnight sun during summertime.
