The Sookie hotel, nestled on rue des Commines in the Haut-Marais (3rd arrondissement) in Paris, has been welcoming guests since June 2021. Ideally located between the places de la République and the Bastille, and close to the Picasso and Carnavalet museums. The human-sized hotel belonging to the Madeho Group takes its name from the great classic jazz piece by Grant Green, as a nod to the liveliness of the neighborhood. Originally a former convent, the building underwent a total renovation of 2 years. The interior decoration was designed by interior designer Dorothée Delaye, in a retro and warm spirit. Original exposed beams have been preserved.

The 31 elegant rooms display soothing colors in a range of warm hues, solid wood, plush loop pile carpeting, generous fabrics, rattan and natural fibers, marble and hand-blown glass sconces, linen curtains, velvet bedspreads, custom-designed furniture in a fifties spirit, dried flowers, and some modern works of art such as architectural photos, abstract works, and quirky portraits. All the rooms have top-of-the-range bedding, air conditioning, very high-speed wifi, comfortable towels, and Terre de Mars cosmetics, made in France, vegan and ecological. With an area of ​​15 to 32 sqm, 4 room categories will allow everyone to find the ideal space to live in the heart of the Marais. The Spacy rooms have a real lounge to relax and spacious office space.

While most hotels have a restaurant, Sookie has opted for a coffee shop open on the street as a lobby, in order to attract neighborhood neighbors from breakfast time for a very friendly atmosphere, unifying and uninhibited. Located on the ground floor of the establishment, the coffee shop is open all day.
