Boca de Agua: Hotel in Bacalar
Frida Escobedo's Boca de Agua Hotel in Quintana Roo, Mexico, focuses on design-driven hospitality and wellness.
A poetic habitat immersed in natural wonder
Boca de Agua is located near the magical Laguna de los Siete Colores, with crystal clear blue waters, in Bacalar. Boca de Agua is a new conscious form of hospitality designed by architect Frida Escobedo from Mexico City. This oasis nestled on the edge of the lagoon, maximizes well-being, intimacy and inspiration through reconnection with nature. The 22 architecturally sustainable casitas immersed in the lush jungle were created through the use of local wood, labor and construction techniques, despite its modern forms. Here, the trellis is a feature that allows for both natural ventilation and shade, while enveloping spaces in an artisanal atmosphere.
