Chapter Roma: Hotel in Roma
Elegance and glamour, Chapter Roma is undoubtedly one of the most original and trendy hotels the city has to offer.
A new concept of Roman hospitality
Chapter Roma is located in the street of blacksmiths, in the lively Regola district.
The first “chapter” in the Chapter Italia portfolio developed by Marco Cilia (originally from Rome and formerly of the Americano hotel in New York), Chapter Roma embodies a unique contemporary and classic aesthetic.
The objective was to introduce a new concept of hospitality in this city where hotels tend to be dusty and a frankly a little stuffy, and to show how to approach luxury differently.
The original neoclassical building from 1880 was renovated with the collaboration of South African designer Tristan Du Plessis from Studio A for the interiors. The designer used raw steel, brass, copper and bronze elements to bring an industrial touch. As a contrast, he added layers of soft velvet, exposed bricks, herringbone oak floors, Italian furniture and artwork to inject warmth and glamour into the different spaces with vaulted ceilings.
The hotel offers 42 minimalist rooms, designed with brightly colored furniture, benches, side tables, metal closets and lighting from British designers. Marshall speakers, vintage telephones, and carefully selected design objects add a touch of character. The bathrooms are finished with rough cement walls and granite floors and feature L:a Bruket toiletries.
The hotel also features a signature restaurant, a lobby bar where locals and travelers alike come to mingle, and Market, an all-in-one organic grocery store.
Chapter Roma is an affordable delight for travelers that appreciate design.
