Cheval Blanc St‑Barth : The Soul of Luxury on the Most Exclusive Island in the Caribbean

Set on Flamands Bay, often described as the most beautiful beach in Saint Barthelemy, Cheval Blanc St Barth unveils its pavilions between white sand and turquoise waters. The hotel is revealed at the end of a secret path, hidden within lush vegetation, like a home nestled between sea and tropical garden. Facing the island of Chevreau and its jagged coastline, the panorama opens onto an endless sea that changes hues throughout the day, in a setting as elegant as it is authentic.

Opened in 2014 under the Cheval Blanc banner, after having been the Isle de France, the property was the first palace outside mainland France and the third destination in the collection. True to the spirit of the LVMH group, the hotel embodies a refined, creative and bespoke art of hospitality where every gesture of service and every detail of the decor reflect a contemporary luxury that favours privacy, generosity and emotion. The Maison’s Ambassadeurs ensure that each stay becomes a truly exceptional experience.

The aesthetic signature of Cheval Blanc St Barth is the result of a unique collaboration between Jacques Grange, Madison Cox and Jean Michel Othoniel. Jacques Grange has shaped an atmosphere inspired by seaside cabins, blending whitewashed wood, rattan, straw mats, ikats and tribal art pieces. Madison Cox has designed a lush tropical garden where each plant frames the views like a living painting. Jean Michel Othoniel imagined the Pegasus Constellation, a mobile of glass beads that links sky and earth, a poetic tribute to the Milky Way that envelops the island’s nights. Together they create a total work of art where architecture, art and nature harmoniously echo one another.

Cheval Blanc St Barth offers 61 keys including rooms, suites and villas, all conceived as sanctuaries where natural elegance is expressed in every detail. Each accommodation reveals interiors by Jacques Grange, blending the spirit of tropical cabins with the sophistication of seaside homes. Whitewashed wood, rattan, ikat fabrics, vintage rugs, objects from around the world and exotic jars create a soft, warm and sophisticated atmosphere in harmony with the surrounding nature. The Villa de France spans 640 square metres over two levels, with five bedrooms, two infinity pools, 360 degree terraces overlooking the sea and interiors where colourful azulejos, mashrabiyas and artworks engage in dialogue with the marine panorama.

Under the signature of Chef Jean Imbert, the dining at Cheval Blanc St Barth celebrates the Spirit of the Caribbean by elevating local ingredients. La Case overlooks the bay and offers fine natural gastronomy where the morning’s catch and garden herbs meet the inspirations of French haute cuisine. La Cabane, with its feet in the sand, serves sunny and convivial dishes, with generous plates to share and creations inspired by tropical shores. The White Bar and the Tiki Bar extend the experience with creative cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere soothed by the ocean breeze.

The Cheval Blanc Spa by Guerlain is a haven tucked within the garden where four treatment rooms, a hammam and an outdoor pavilion invite guests to let go. Signature rituals such as Wonders of the Caribbean or the Imperial Sculpting Facial reflect Guerlain’s excellence and bespoke well-being expertise. The Technogym fitness room, yoga and pilates classes, sea excursions, water sports, designer boutiques and bespoke celebrations complete this sensory journey at the heart of the Caribbean.

Cheval Blanc St Barth is far more than a hotel. It is a sanctuary where art, nature and luxury come together in perfect harmony. A rare place, a timeless escape where Caribbean elegance takes on its full meaning.
