Opened in 2021, Hôtel Concepció by Nobis is the result of an ambitious project by the Swedish group Nobis Hospitality, renowned for its sleek and intimate properties in Stockholm and Copenhagen. With Concepció, Nobis marks its first address in Spain, subtly reinterpreting Mallorca’s soul through a Scandinavian lens. The historic building, a former soap warehouse, was transformed with respect for its heritage by the architectural firm Wingårdhs, led by Gert Wingårdh, a star of Nordic design.

From the entrance, the pure lines of polished marble meet the raw textures of original wooden beams. Majorcan stone is displayed unadorned, enhanced by softly curved furniture and a mineral palette punctuated with touches of bronze and deep black. The sun-drenched central patio recalls Mediterranean cloisters and invites gentle contemplation. Here, everything breathes calm and discreet sophistication. The design, never ostentatious, tells the story of an island with many faces — rural, maritime, bourgeois.

The hotel houses 31 unique rooms and suites spread across several floors. Their decor subtly blends Majorcan heritage with contemporary Scandinavian influences, featuring handcrafted green and cream tiles by local brand Huguet, furniture by renowned designers such as Carl Hansen, Gemla, Örsjö, Artek, HAY, and B&B Italia, and exclusive Byredo bath products. Some rooms reveal charming views over Palma’s red-tiled roofs, while others open onto the patio or the narrow streets of the neighborhood. High ceilings, oak parquet floors, organic linen sheets, and travertine-clad bathrooms create a warm and refined atmosphere, never cold. The suites offer added surprises like freestanding bathtubs and private living rooms flooded with natural light.

The hotel’s restaurant, Xalest, led by Icelandic chef Isak Gundersen, serves Mediterranean cuisine revisited with a Scandinavian touch. Breakfast, served à la carte, celebrates slow food with homemade granolas, fresh fruits, sourdough breads, and freshly pressed juices. In the evening, the terrace becomes a stage for elegant dining, featuring refined tapas and natural wines from the Balearics.

The wellness area, discreet yet comprehensive, includes a secluded outdoor pool bordered by rattan loungers and century-old olive trees. A small fitness room is also available, along with a selection of body treatments and massages bookable in-room for a tailor-made relaxation experience.
