The Domaine de Fontenille is located in Lauris, in the heart of Provence, on the southern slope of the Luberon.

Open since 2015, it is Frédéric Biousse and Guillaume Foucher’s first hotel project, both founders of the Les Domaines de Fontenille collection. Together, they took over an old Provencal farmhouse that was left in ruins, surrounded by a vineyard dating back to the 17th century. This country mansion, nestled between cedars and century-old olive trees, elegantly combines past eras and local tradition. The decoration melds together family portraits, souvenirs, antique busts and contemporary works of art from the owners’ collection and from La Galerie Particulière.

The Domaine de Fontenille offers 19 unique and original rooms and suites, including 1 apartment and a former washhouse converted into a romantic little den. The rooms let in the sun and face the gardens, blending an elegant style of French art de Vivre with contemporary touches. Some rooms even have their own private terrace. King size beds, spacious bathrooms, and latest generation technology: everything is designed to experience the comfort of refined and discreet luxury.

The hotel hosts 2 restaurants “Le Champ des Lunes” 1 star in the Michelin Guide, and the bistro “La Cuisine d’Amélie” offering modern and local cuisine. The vegetables and fruits come from the permaculture vegetable garden. You’ll surely find a place to unwind in the art gallery housed in the old cellar, the lounges, the library, the gardens, the bowling alley, the 20-meter heated outdoor swimming pool, the fitness room, or even the spa with a hammam. The Domaine de Fontenille also has an on-site farm with donkeys, sheep and chickens. As an exceptional wine estate, the Domaine also offers a wine cellar and a tasting boutique.
