Designed for modern travelers
In Chania, the Domes Zeen hotel, formerly Casa Cook Chania, is now owned and operated by Ledra Hotels & Villas – Domes Resorts group, with hotels already present on the island.
Domes Zeen is a hotel designed for modern-day families. The second part of the hotel has just been completed, still under the direction of the Berlin-based architectural firm Lambs & Lions for its architectural concept, in collaboration with the Greek architecture firm K-studio, and the interior designer Annabell Kutucu.
Designed to resemble a village, the property is arranged with a series of sharp-cornered buildings clad in smooth concrete and wood. Thick Mediterranean and tropical vegetation adds softness to the overall effect.
The 102 rooms and villas, with a modern and minimalist design, each have a private terrace with an outdoor rain shower, and some are even equipped with a swimming pool. The warm and earthy interior elements combine a mix of local stone, dark wood, textured sheets, golden lamps, rattan weavings, handcrafted furniture, and large windows that let in the light, creating a luxurious and relaxed atmosphere.
Breakfast is served as a large-scale buffet with fresh produce. The Beach House restaurant serves Greek and Cretan flavored cuisine. New for 2020 is a 6-course gourmet tasting menu.
There is also a bar, a spa, a concept store, a large black-tiled swimming pool, a lounge area and a pavilion where yoga classes are offered. There is a pathway that leads directly to the hotel’s private beach.
Domes Zeen Chania is the perfect getaway to relax on the Cretan coast against the backdrop of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea.
