Located on the unassuming island of Menorca in Alaior, Fontenille Menorca opened in 2019 as a apart of Les Domaines de Fontenille collection.
Guillaume Foucher and Frédéric Biousse have transformed 2 fincas into hotels celebrating slow life. Fontenille Menorca is a concept bringing together 2 buildings a few km apart and with distinct styles, comprising a total of 39 rooms spread over the two fincas; Fontenille Menorca Santa Ponsa and Fontenille Menorca Torre Vella.
Santa Ponsa is an iconic 17th-century palace whose lush terraced gardens are irrigated by a unique gravitational irrigation system in the Balearic Islands.
Santa Ponsa consists of 22 rooms divided between the main house and former barns. The decoration reflects the place’s rich history, characterized by greenery and colonial influences, with rattan furniture, colorful walls and a winter garden. Santa Ponsa serves as the home of the estate.
The main restaurant of Fontenille Menorca is located in Santa Ponsa. Directed by the Catalan Chef Albert Riera, it offers contemporary Spanish cuisine, tangy and lively, focused on the product. It is partly supplied by our vegetable garden of more than 5 000 sqm in the southern part of the Santa Ponsa terraces. Carried out in organic farming and according to the principles of permaculture, Nura offers healthy, quality and seasonal products.
Santa Ponsa is entirely focused on well-being. Everything helps to find a real balance. Outdoor and covered swimming pool, aquatic course, hammam, sauna, Nordic baths, massage rooms, the spa is the ideal place for a unique moment out of time. The Susanne Kaufmann natural treatment protocols focus on the benefits of plants and energy regeneration.
