Gekko House: Hotel in Frankfurt
Gekko House is a contemporary, casual urban hotel concept featuring uncompromising design, style, and comfort.
An urban oasis in Frankfurt
The Gekko House hotel is located in the emerging Gallus district of Frankfurt, known for its converted warehouses and factories.
The hotel, introduced as a member of the Marriott Tribute portfolio, is owned by the Gekko Group, which also includes the brand’s Roomer and The Pure and Gerbermühle. Opened in 2020, inspired by the motto “life is crazy”, the hotel’s aesthetics echo the region’s industrial vibe. The comfortable and luxurious interior design was created by Frankfurt-based Morgan Interiors studio.
The Gekko House has 128 rooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of the surrounding skyscrapers. Each room is full of contrasts and combines exposed rough concrete walls, light oak herringbone parquet flooring with elegant custom-made furniture, velvet seating, hand-blown glass fixtures, and Marshall speakers. Touches of green – which is a rather atypical color in a hotel – highlight the eco-friendly design theme as a reference to nature. All rooms have a bathroom with a rain shower and Grown Alchemist organic products. The junior suite is equipped with a Vieques Agape freestanding bathtub. The combination of all these different types of surfaces offer a cozy and warm atmosphere.
On the first floor, the décor features organic cherry wood paneling, olive wood furniture, and eye-catching upholstery. The Gekko Späti boutique carries a selection of handcrafted snacks, as well as local souvenirs and gadgets. The Chicago Williams restaurant and bar, a Berlin-born barbecue concept, serves German beer and delicatessen specialties. On the 8th floor, the Chicago Beach Rooftop bar promises a breathtaking view of the city’s rooftops.
Gekko House is an unconventional urban hotel for the cosmopolitan traveler.
