Istoria is located in the Southeast, opposite the lively western part of the island of Santorini, along the volcanic beaches of Perivolos.

The Interior Design Laboratorium transformed an old private residence with its stables into an eclectic, contemporary, elegant hotel.

Istoria takes its name from the ancient Greek word meaning history.

The design was directly influenced by the place’s history as told by the former owners. Here, the space’s simplicity is in perfect harmony with the island’s traditional construction materials, such as volcanic stone and colored plaster, as well as some wooden furniture and handcrafted textiles. The interiors are designed with local mosaic tiles, terracotta and original wooden beams that have been restored for a relaxed setting. All this in a color palette that extends beyond whites and blues.

The 12 spacious suites are all arranged differently, each one featuring a sitting area, an office, and a terrace with a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea, and some even have private hot tubs. The bathroom includes a double sink, a luxurious shower and local Korres bath products.

The restaurant, with its outdoor dining room, offers contemporary Mediterranean-inspired cuisine prepared with local seafood, Santorini wines and products from the hotel’s organic garden. The heart of the hotel is formed by a 30-meter long black slate swimming pool surrounded by olive trees, and lined with deck chairs that meet with the bar that stretches out below.

The hotel also possesses a spa and a private beach.
