Maison Albar - Le Victoria: Hotel in Nice
In the heart of Nice, a new haven of luxury pauses time and invites guests to a blissful interlude overlooking the Mediterranean.
Maison Albar – Le Victoria: Reinventing Riviera Elegance
Located at 6 Avenue de Suède, nestled between the iconic Promenade des Anglais and the vibrant Place Masséna, Maison Albar – Le Victoria is a discreet address in the prestigious Carré d’Or district. From the hotel’s upper floors, the view sweeps across the shimmering sea, the lush hills of the hinterland, and on clear days, the peaks of the Mercantour. It feels like a secret resort, bathed in light and serenity, where the Mediterranean art of living is celebrated in all its splendor.
Opened in November 2024, Le Victoria embodies the fifth generation of the Albar family, passionate hoteliers for over a century. Named after Victoria, the family’s heiress, the hotel is a tribute to French hospitality, blending tradition and modernity. Under the guidance of Jean-Bernard and Céline Falco (née Albar), this 5-star property pays homage to the Riviera and timeless elegance—a sanctuary of hedonism where every guest is welcomed as a cherished visitor.
Formerly known as the Boscolo Plaza, this iconic building has been completely reimagined to offer an immersive experience, combining urban buzz with Mediterranean calm. The transformation was entrusted to Nice-based architect Jean-Paul Gomis, in collaboration with Parisian designers Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet of Studio MHNA. The result is a refined haven where Art Deco aesthetics meet Riviera softness. The light-filled common areas feature azure tones, fluid lines, Biot glasswork, and noble materials like marble and lacquered wood. The palette ranges from sun-kissed whites and sky blues to bold graphic black accents. Every detail recalls the charm of 1930s Riviera villas, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch.
Le Victoria offers 132 rooms, including 30 suites, all bathed in natural light. Categories include the Céline, Victoria, and Merveilles Suites, with many featuring balconies, loggias, or terraces to fully embrace the view. Interiors are dressed in a palette of white, ivory, and azure, enhanced with elegant black accents—reflecting the essence of the French Riviera while offering all modern comforts. Carefully chosen materials—woodwork, lacquer, stone—add warmth and refinement. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame breathtaking views of the Mediterranean or the hills of Nice, for total immersion in the Côte d’Azur spirit.
At the top of the hotel, the Taulissa restaurant — named after the Provençal word for “on the rooftops” — offers a unique culinary experience. Helmed by Michelin-starred chef Glenn Viel and his partner Fred Grava, the restaurant celebrates Mediterranean flavors through generous and creative dishes served in a convivial atmosphere. The menu, crafted with local ingredients, highlights sharing plates enhanced by flavorful sauces. On the first floor, Café Victoria offers light and refined cuisine, perfect for a sunny lunch or an elegant afternoon tea. The panoramic rooftop terrace, with its 360° view of Nice, is the ideal spot to end the evening with a signature cocktail, soundtracked by a live DJ set.
At the heart of the hotel, the Oria Spa spans 650 m² and invites guests into a serene sanctuary. It features a marble indoor pool, sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and treatment rooms. Treatments are performed using products by Swiss brand La Colline, and include a signature facial infused with 24-carat gold by the Italian house Giusto Manetti Battiloro. A fully equipped fitness studio and personalized coaching complete the wellness offering for a tailor-made experience. To top it all off, a spectacular infinity pool sits on the rooftop, offering uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean—an invitation to pure contemplation.
Maison Albar – Le Victoria captures the essence of discreet elegance and warm luxury, offering a one-of-a-kind experience on the French Riviera. Between refined design, exceptional dining, and ultimate wellness, this hotel is the perfect escape to discover a new side of Nice, where tradition meets modern sophistication.
