A house that’ll do you some good

In the heartland of the Alps, in Uriage-les-Bains, 2 starred chef Christophe Aribert created his eco-responsible lodge, aimed at your well-being and putting you back in harmony with nature.

This chef hailing from the mountains set his sights on an abandoned building that was in ruins, an impressive Anglo-Norman chalet built in 1875. Joëlle Personnaz, architect and geobiologist, took care of renovations for over a year and Laetitia Debeausse was entrusted with the interior decoration. Wood wool insulation, wood pellets boiler, heat pump, low-energy light bulbs, bio-cables; every material is sourced to be ethical and organic. He himself lives on the top floor and welcomes visitors as if they were at home, in one of the house’s 5 unique rooms.

Each room is ultra cozy, with a sleek design and almost zero environmental impact. Each unique room is arranged with large windows, soothing stone colours, natural materials, Scandinavian vintage furniture, design objects, soft bedding made of Hästens horsehair, soft lighting, and no television. Each room has a balcony overlooking the breathtaking surrounding alpine landscape. The bathrooms are bright and equipped with a walk-in shower, a Dyson hair dryer, and Ma Thérapie organic soaps. This peaceful atmosphere is a perfect place to take your time and focus on the essentials.

The place includes a bistro, Café A, and an organic gastronomic menu with seasonal produce from the permaculture vegetable garden. The hotel offers herbal tea, ayurvedic massages, and consultations with a naturopath.

Maison Aribert is not really a hotel, but a natural well-being experience beyond any other.
