Nômade Temple Ibiza: Hotel in Portinatx, Spain
Nômade Temple Ibiza – A Contemporary Hotel by Bjarke Ingels on the Cliffs of Portinatx
A Wild Sanctuary on Ibiza’s Northern Coast
Nestled in the village of Portinatx, on Ibiza’s northern coast, Nômade Temple opens onto a stretch of shoreline still untouched by the White Isle’s usual bustle. Here, there’s no concrete waterfront or thumping beach club: only secret coves, coastal trails, and a rugged nature that feels like it has always been there. The property unfolds across land shaped by rock and umbrella pine, steps from a secluded beach, far from the churn of Ibiza Town yet close to the island’s most authentic soul.
A New Chapter for the Nômade House
Set to open in summer 2026, Nômade Temple Ibiza marks the Nômade brand’s second Spanish address, following Madrid, alongside its Mexican sanctuaries in Tulum and Holbox. Conceived as a place of transformation as much as a place to stay, the hotel unfolds across 182 rooms, suites and villas around a clear philosophy: give the land back to nature and let the island reclaim its own rhythm. Yoga, music, wellbeing rituals and dining experiences are woven into a living program, conceived less as a hotel complex than as a true ecosystem.
An Architecture by Oneness, Bjarke Ingels’s Studio
The design was entrusted to Oneness, the multidisciplinary studio co-founded by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, known for an approach it calls “terraforming”: shaping architecture to the terrain rather than the reverse, so buildings feel discovered rather than built. Piedra blanca stone, sabina wood, terracotta tiles and native planting form a palette deeply rooted in Ibiza, while terraced pathways and organic circulation routes mirror the coastline’s natural contours. The whole draws on the bohemian legacy of the 1960s and 70s that built the island’s legend, balancing expressive forms with tactile restraint.
182 Rooms and Suites Anchored in the Landscape
Spread across Standard Rooms, Junior Suites, Lofts, Ocean Front Suites and private villas, Nômade Temple Ibiza’s 182 keys all lean into their setting: terraces, rooftop areas, private pools or outdoor bathtubs accompany many of them. Arched openings and locally sourced materials assert a distinctly Ibizan identity, while interiors balance bold geometries with calming textures designed to quiet the senses as much as delight them. Each room is conceived as a restorative enclave, attuned to both guest and setting.
Dining in Four Movements, From Tavla to Kuu Jū
Here, dining follows the natural rhythm of the day. Tavla invites guests to gather around a menu inspired by Mediterranean journeys; 4Fuegos celebrates locally sourced ingredients through fire-led cooking; Kuu Jū offers an intimate omakase experience; and Café Libre becomes a place to pause, reconnect and savor the moment. Facing the sea, the Pool & Beach Club extends the social energy outdoors, while Dante’s HiFi, a vinyl bar by the pool, spins the soundtrack to sunset.
Gön House of Healing, a Cave-Inspired Spa and Water Rituals
Concealed among the rocks and woven into the natural landscape, the Gön House of Healing spa draws its inspiration from Ibiza’s hidden caves. Water therapies sit at the heart of the experience, complemented by wellbeing rituals designed to nurture body, mind and spirit within an atmosphere of immediate calm. A 24-hour gym, a Temple inspired by the world of M. C. Escher for yoga and meditation, and a recording studio for artists-in-residence round out a wellbeing and cultural program that goes well beyond treatments — from ice baths and guided breathwork to stargazing and coastal hikes starting right from the property.
A New Geography of Wellbeing in Ibiza
Between white stone, sabina wood and ancestral rituals reinvented for today, Nômade Temple Ibiza composes an address unlike any other on the island. Guests come to reconnect, and leave transformed.
