Pension Leuchtenburg is located on the shores of Lake Caldaro in Klughammer, a small idyllic town in South Tyrol.

Opened in April 2023, Pension Leuchtenburg is the project of Katharina and Jan. Kat grew up here and took over the guesthouse from her parents, who managed it for four decades. They acquired the listed building with a castle-like facade to create a true holiday home, a place for open-minded people looking for something special, with relaxed luxury and personalized service. The building was transformed with the help of architect Christina Biasi von Berg from the Biquadra architecture studio. The history of the building was preserved and elegantly combined with contemporary design. The renovation work was carried out by local artisans.

Surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards, away from the hustle and bustle, Pension Leuchtenburg now offers twelve individual rooms. They blend authentic features with ample comfort. Each room is lovingly designed and named after a vineyard around Lake Caldaro. The interiors showcase trendy colors, modern furniture, old country-style pieces with vibrant ornamentation, and original wooden floors, creating a cozy atmosphere and giving the house its unique character. The rooms feature brand new bathrooms and magnificent views of the turquoise-green lake.

Breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the lake. The Terrazza restaurant offers freshly prepared dinners by new chef Luca, using local and seasonal ingredients sourced from regional farmers and producers. Kat, who lived in Bordeaux for four years, is a sommelier and recommends the best wines to pair with the dishes. On Sundays, guests dine together at a large communal table, enjoying Italian charcuterie.

The 140-square-meter communal lounge, with exposed stone walls and vaulted ceilings, provides a cozy space with a living room and a record player for relaxation, a wine cellar, and a Finnish sauna.
Outside, there is a 400-square-meter garden with direct lake access, a private swimming area, striped lounge chairs and umbrellas, paddle boats, stand-up paddleboards, a rowboat, a boathouse with a self-service bar, and a bio sauna (55-60°C) by the lake. Inspiring workshops in yoga, breathwork, or art are also offered.
