The Calile: Hotel in Brisbane
The Calile, in the seaside resort town of Brisbane offers an authentic city vacation experience.
An urban resort experience
In the chic and trendy area of James Street, surrounded by designer boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries, The Calile is a stylish and trendy hotel, well removed from Australian hotel standards.
Created by renowned local architects from the studio, Richards and Spence, The Calile is a style revolution, inspired by Queensland’s tropical climate. The minimalist architecture and the use of concrete contrast with the warm tones of the interior spaces. Spread out over seven floors, with a white brick façade, the hotel is contemporary, with an art deco aesthetic, and adorned with a pastel color palette.
The 175 rooms, including 9 suites, are bright and painted in blue, pink, and green. They feature custom-made oak furniture, marble surfaces, brushed brass accents, a bench and dining table, a Juliette-style balcony, and natural ventilation. The lower portion of the walls are covered with cork, which extends to the floors covered with sisal carpets. The bathrooms, which match the bedroom walls, are equipped with linen bathrobes and Grown Alchemist toiletries.
A welcoming splash of color is maintained in the common areas of the hotel, connected by a series of outdoor walkways.
On the first floor, the Lobby Bar serves breakfast as well as cocktails. The Hellenika restaurant serves Greek cuisine with shareable dishes. The 30-meter long swimming pool, with a semicircular solarium in the center, is shaded by jade green striped umbrellas for sunbathers. The hotel also features a Kailo spa, a gym, two private rooftop terraces, a library, lush gardens, and fashion boutiques.
The Calile is a sophisticated resort experience in an urban setting.
