The project was born from the careful restoration of a historic residence integrated into an ancient village. The vision was not to transform the place, but to reveal its original soul. The renovation preserves traces of the past while introducing a contemporary atmosphere shaped around natural materials, soft light, and understated comfort.

Architecture and design play a central role in The Monteleone’s identity. The restoration highlights original stone walls, traditional terracotta floors, handcrafted details, and the natural textures of the building. The Roman studio STUDIOTAMAT designed several signature suites with a minimalist and harmonious approach, creating interiors that remain deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.

The hotel features 17 rooms and suites across several categories, including Superior Rooms, Garden Suites, Suites, and Studio Suites. Each accommodation has its own personality, with a refined design combining natural fabrics, warm tones, wood, and handcrafted details. Some rooms open onto private gardens, while the larger suites offer generous spaces and the feeling of an elegant countryside residence.

Dining is an essential part of the experience. The Bistrot celebrates the flavors of Umbria and Tuscany through simple, generous cuisine inspired by local traditions. Regional ingredients, seasonal products, and convivial dishes create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Throughout the year, outdoor culinary experiences highlight the richness of the surrounding territory and its authentic flavors.

Wellness follows the same philosophy of harmony with nature. A seasonal outdoor pool offers uninterrupted views over the Umbrian hills, while the open-air spa creates a more immersive experience with a sauna, jacuzzi, and barefoot wellness path.
