A design and eco-sustainable hotel

The Viu hotel is located in the heart of the emerging Porta Volta district in Milan, the Italian capital of fashion and design.

Opened in 2017, the hotel was designed by Antonio and Tommaso Viscardi. For this project they called upon the Arassociati architectural firm, Nicola Gallizia for the interior design, and the Milanese studio Ag&p Greenscape for the landscaping.

Hotel Viu redefines the standards of contemporary luxury through a design-oriented and eco-sustainable establishment. The hotel stands out for its cuboid structure made of metal and wood, its glass façade, and the vertically oriented gardens that adorn the vast façade. The warm interiors exhibit a sober and modern decor achieved through a mix of colors and textures.

The hotel has 124 rooms including 31 suites. Each room is designed with floor-to-ceiling bay windows that let the light flood in. The rooms are decorated with oak parquet flooring, neutral tones, light handmade fabrics created exclusively for the hotel, Italian Molteni&C furniture and art objects. The marble bathrooms are equipped with either an Italian shower or bathtub overlooking the city, and Malin+Goetz toiletries. Most of the bathrooms have wooden sliding doors with carved geometric patterns.

Breakfast is served à la carte in the dining room located on the top floor of the hotel.

Morelli is a gastronomic restaurant under the direction of starred chef Giancarlo Morelli. Bulk Mixology Food Bar is a casual space dedicated to casual dining and cocktails. It is also possible to eat at the chef’s table in the kitchens. The hotel has a spa, fitness center, and rooftop pool with a 360-degree view of the city.
