A hotel like no other
In the heart of Bordeaux, The Yndo hotel has reinvented what it means to have 5 stars with its new outlook on luxury.
Agnès Guiot du Doignon, the hotel’s creator and owner, passionate for interior design, restored and fashioned this abandoned 19th century mansion in her own special image. It took two years of work carried out by Bordeaux artisans to transform the mansion, its paved courtyard, and its former stables. The ceilings, woodwork, fireplaces, and marble have all been preserved to their fullest extent.
The hotel’s concept is focalized around a unique hotel with a highly personalized welcome, where works of art and design are exhibited like pieces in a gallery. Each space is fashioned in its own way, without any ostentatious, showcasing rare and original pieces. The eclectic decoration mixes crafts-meets-contemporary armchairs and mirrors from the Campana Brothers, armchairs designed by Warren Platner, sofas and consoles from Edra, whale tail shaped armchairs from Hubert Le Gall, a walnut Cloud table by Autoban, and Cazeaux ceramics from Biarritz, a carpet designed by Ege Carpet, a rug by Marcel Wanders, and custom-made fixture by the Bordeaux designer William Guillon…
The hotel offers 12 tastefully decorated rooms and bathrooms, with surprisingly different universes, each offering a serene ambiance.
Agnès, who is also passionate about fine gastronomy, offers breakfast and an evening meal, with homemade cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients. Meals can be served in the dining room or on the shaded terrace furnished with Paola Lenti‘s creations.
The Yndo is a contemporary way to experience luxury; one with generosity and serenity.
