Casa Morelli is a house for rent located on a sloping hill in a secluded location in the village of Radda, in the Chianti region of Tuscany.
Originally built in the 15th century in a classic Tuscan style, the farmhouse was renovated and transformed in 2020 by Munich architect Tobias Petri in collaboration with studio Holzrausch for the interiors, to become a sleek modern, and stylish retreat.
With a surface area of 230 sqm, Casa Morelli can accommodate up to 6 people. The heart of the house consists of a loft-style living room with an open fireplace, a dining room, and an open-plan kitchen. A huge panorama window whose wide sliding doors open to a stone-clad terrace brings a lot of light into the interior and provides spectacular views of the hilly landscape of the Chianti. Seamlessly laid dark cotto floor, specially created for Casa Morelli, creates a smooth connection between inside and outside. The bedrooms of Casa Morelli are intimate retreats. There is a bedroom on the ground floor with an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower. On the upper floor is a master suite with ensuite bathroom with bathtub, and rain shower, and washbasin made of travertine stone. The office has a convertible sofa bed and an adjoining bathroom with a rain shower, which can be converted into a third bedroom. Extra-large box spring beds and natural mattresses provide high-quality sleeping comfort. Interiors feature a sophisticated, modern, and minimalist design, with custom-made furnishings and artwork. There are plenty of high-end amenities including a Burmester hi-fi system and a Berkel cutting machine. The outdoor space of Casa Morelli is designed like a huge outdoor living room: it has dining and seating areas under shady pergolas, a panoramic outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, and an infinity water basin. A little above the house is a pool that is shared with the five neighboring houses.
