Villa Fluggi: House in Merano
Villa Fluggi offers an elegant retro style full of designer pieces, timeless classics and vintage furniture.
A good dose of retro chic style
Villa Fluggi is a house for rent located a few minute’s walks from the center of the Italian spa town of Merano in the South Tyrol region.
The 1960s villa of Monocle founder Tyler Brûlé was acquired in 2019 by Carmen and Klaus Alber, also owners of Miramonti hotel. Villa Fluggi can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably.
Spread over three levels and 270 sqm, the house consists of two living rooms, a dining room, an equipped kitchen, a laundry room, an office, 5 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. Each floor has a reading room. Outside there is a green garden of 800 sqm with aromatic herbs and palm trees, two terraces, and a Finnish sauna. The great thing about this house is that the retro interiors and the wonderful art collection are original. These include Thonet chairs in the dining room, a pair of Knoll sofas, a Lobmeyr chandelier found at the flea market, Bättig chairs on the terrace, a Harry Thaler drinks cabinet, a 606 and USM shelving system, a 153 Alvar Aalto bench, an Audio 310 record player designed by Dieter Rams, a special beer tap in the kitchen and a wine cellar. The style is retro and elegant, with plenty of designer pieces, timeless classics, and vintage furniture. Soft colors, tropical houseplants, warm woods, modern paintings, and eye-catching photos complete the set in an appealing way. In order to make the stay more comfortable, many services are available: private chef preparing authentic South Tyrolean dishes or breakfast, yoga teacher, organization of excursions…
Guests of Villa Fluggi have access to the wellness area at the Miramonti hotel.
This exclusive house is a beautiful private place for fans of retro design and for a relaxing vacation with family and friends.
