Baumhaus Steirereck: Treehouses in Pogusch
In Pogusch, in the Austrian forest, a restaurant offers cabins in the trees in the shape of a tree trunk, with large round windows.
Unique accommodations in an Austrian forest
The Baumhaus Steirereck complex is located in the rural village of Pogusch. These new conceptual modular accommodations called “Bert”, were designed by the Precht and Baumbau architecture studios. Hidden in the woods of the Steirereck am Pogusch restaurant, the 4 trunk-shaped structures like treehouses were made from bent cross-laminated timber for minimal environmental impact.
We love Baumhaus Steirereck am Pogusch for:
Opening in 2022
4 independent modular accommodations
Circular and branched shape that represents the trunk of the tree
Exteriors covered with wood shingles
Large windows allowing a connection to nature
Restaurant offering Styrian cuisine with farm produce
Double room from 100 € per night during low season.
