Originally completed in 1935 by Danish architect Ole Falkentorp, the property is considered a landmark of Scandinavian Modernism and Nordic Functionalism. The hotel has undergone an extensive restoration led by NVMBR Architects, AART Architects, and London-based design studio Afroditi, with landscape architecture by EFFEKT. The result preserves the building’s architectural heritage while introducing a contemporary vision of luxury hospitality.

The hotel offers 77 rooms and suites, complemented by five private townhouses located adjacent to the main building. Accommodations range from Comfort and Superior Rooms to Junior Suites, Suites, and spacious Townhouses. Room sizes range from 258 to 1,292 square feet, with views overlooking the town, harbor, landscaped gardens, or the Kattegat Sea. Designed for longer stays, the townhouses span two levels and provide generous living spaces for families and groups. The interiors, designed by Afroditi in collaboration with renowned Danish design house GUBI, embody contemporary Scandinavian elegance. Soft shades of sand, cream, and warm gray are paired with light oak, natural marble, linen, and wool textiles to create calm, inviting spaces. Custom-designed furnishings, carefully curated lighting, and clean architectural lines reflect Nordic minimalism, while selected suites and townhouses feature fireplaces that add warmth and intimacy. Marble bathrooms include rainfall showers and premium amenities, while beds by MUUN Copenhagen complete the residential atmosphere.

Dining is centered around CORI Table, an all-day restaurant celebrating seasonal Nordic cuisine through locally sourced ingredients and contemporary techniques. The culinary program is overseen by acclaimed Danish chef Brian Mark Hansen, formerly of the Michelin-starred Søllerød Kro. Facing the beach, The Jetty serves specialty coffee, light lunches, cocktails, and evening drinks in a relaxed setting inspired by Denmark’s coastal lifestyle.

Wellness is at the heart of the guest experience with the CORI Spa, designed around traditional Nordic thermal rituals.
