Le Mirage: Luxury Hotel in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France
Between the hills of the Var and a shimmering Mediterranean, at the gates of Saint-Tropez
High above Bormes-les-Mimosas, officially ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, Le Mirage enjoys a privileged position halfway between the flower-lined lanes of the medieval village and the crystal-clear beaches of the Var coastline. Here, umbrella pines and mimosas frame a view that plunges toward the deep blue sea, while the Golden Isles — Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant — trace their silhouette on the horizon. Just a short drive from Saint-Tropez and Le Lavandou, the hotel offers a rare privilege: the feeling of being cut off from the world while remaining at the heart of the most sought-after stretch of the French Riviera.
A rebirth designed for Mediterranean living
Le Mirage has not simply been renovated: it has reinvented itself. Fully rethought, the hotel enters a new era in 2026, with every space redesigned to form a true destination of experiences. Far from a simple place to sleep, the address orchestrates a constant dialogue between gastronomy, wellness and nature, conceived as an invitation to slow down. This deep transformation comes alongside the arrival of a new themed restaurant, a completely reimagined spa and a second swimming pool, confirming Le Mirage’s ambition to become one of the Var’s landmark addresses.
A signature by Atelier du Pont, between raw concrete and wild garden
The extension of Le Mirage bears the mark of architecture firm Atelier du Pont, which shaped volumes in constant dialogue with the site’s topography. Raw concrete, natural stone, terracotta and wood come together in a mineral, sensitive architecture, punctuated by elegant arches and terracotta hues reminiscent of Provence. The gardens, entirely redesigned, were conceived as a natural setting: olive trees, cypresses, laurels and lavender feel as though they have always grown there, giving the impression that the villas were simply set down within the original vegetation.
Seventy-three rooms and villas nestled in a lush garden
Le Mirage counts 73 rooms and suites in total, spread between the historic hotel and the villas of the Jardin Méditerranéen. In the main wing, 35 rooms and suites — Classic, Deluxe, Mirage, East-Side or Nord — showcase a contemporary bohemian-chic style, warmed by linen, cotton and wood. In the garden, the villas house additional rooms and suites, including two 50-square-meter suites with a private pool, designed as true houses opening onto the greenery. All enjoy a south-facing terrace turned toward the sea and the Golden Isles, where breakfast at sunrise becomes a cherished ritual.
Two tables and a chef trained in Alain Ducasse’s kitchens
The table at Le Mirage carries the signature of Anthony Denon, a chef trained from the age of seventeen alongside Alain Ducasse and Jean-François Piège. At the restaurant Le Balcon, his Mediterranean, plant-forward and bistronomic cuisine celebrates local Var produce on a panoramic terrace facing the sunset. A second table, Monsieur Yuzu, is preparing to open at the heart of the garden for a more immersive and convivial experience, conceived as an invitation to culinary travel. By the pool, the lounge bar rounds out the offering with signature cocktails and artisanal mixology creations.
A CODAGE spa and two pools for every mood
Set within the reception pavilion, the Spa by CODAGE spans 400 square meters devoted to wellness, with four treatment rooms — including one double — where practitioners craft tailor-made rituals based on a personalized diagnosis. The wet area invites guests on a complete thermal journey: hammam, sauna, hot bath, cold bath and ice bath follow one another for total release, complemented by an 80-square-meter gym open around the clock. Two pools punctuate the property — one open to the sea horizon, the other more intimate and nestled within the garden — while three modular lounges, up to 250 square meters, welcome seminars, weddings and private receptions.
A Var escape for those seeking the true South of France
Far from the bustle of Saint-Tropez yet close enough to feel its energy, Le Mirage offers a more intimate, more authentic version of the French Riviera. A place where the light, the scent of pines and the song of cicadas compose, day after day, a truly Mediterranean experience. For a romantic getaway, a family holiday or time with friends, this address promises an authentic escape, best enjoyed without counting the hours.
